you a fee to be in our agency.
We are commission based so we only get paid if you get work.
PAY RATES EXTRAS
The payment you receive for appearing as an extra are supported by the Media and Arts Alliance and paid at Equity Minimums. There are different rates for the different types of work ie: TV Programs, Feature Films, Corporate Videos and Commercials etc
For example there is a minimum 4 hour call and for work as an extra on a TV program you will get paid $115.16. If you are cast as a Featured Extra the rates are higher, and if you have a few spoken lines the rates will be even higher.
You may also be entitled to additional superannuation, holiday and loading payments. You can click to download the equity rates here.
FEATURED WORK
If you have been booked as a featured extra, bit part, supporting role, 50 worder or hero we negotiate a specific pay rate with the client based on the details of the booking.
FEES
We are a commission based agency so we only get paid if we get you work. Allsorts Casting fees are 10% of your earnings when you are cast and we have received the payment from your work. Then we forward the 90% to you. We love to pay you as soon as possible, and this is generally within two to three weeks. We will discuss this with you when you are booked.
TAXATION & SUPERANNUATION
The production company arranges your taxation payments based on your personal tax rate the tax will be deducted from your earnings so it is important that you fill out your tax declaration form correctly so that you are taxed at the correct rate. When you arrive on set, you need to provide the production company with your Tax File Number and Superannuation fund and they will make the appropriate payments based on the information you provide.
